Nov 6: Melbourne Cup Seafood Luncheon

It's time to get your hats out, as Tuesday, November 6 sees Australia's most prestigious annual Thoroughbred horse race, the Melbourne Cup. In honor of the thunder of hooves on fresh turf, Hooked is hosting a Melbourne Cup Seafood Luncheon, with RMB588 securing you a three-course seafood meal with free-flow Prosecco, Aperol Spritz, wine, beer, gin and tonics and vodka mixers. Nov 7: Oddisee

DC native, rapper and producer Oddisee has caught the eye of Time, NPR and Stereogum. With heavy jazz and soul influences, he's consistently been putting out diverse albums with complex narratives and stomach settling beats. There's a reason he's performed alongside Kendrick Lamar and Herbie Hancock.

Founded in 2013, ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair is a sanctioned project of the Shanghai International Arts Festival. Nov 8-11: West Bund Art and Design Fair

Now in its fifth edition, West Bund Art & Design is taking place from November 8 to 11, 2018, in Hall A of the West Bund Art Center and the newly constructed adjacent Hall N. This year the total exhibition space exceeds 20,000 square meters with more than 110 leading international galleries from 43 cities across Asia, Europe, North America and South America presenting the highest caliber of contemporary art.

Nov 8: Festivus with Lydmor, Prep and Blue Hawaii

Nov 9-11: Shanghai International Children's Book Fair

Gathering nearly 300 publishers, writers and illustrators from over 50 nationalities, the approaching China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair is an epic event any bookworm should not miss. The Pearl is bringing back one of the world’s favorite bands – ABBA! This tribute concert will catalogue all of the Swedish sensation’s greatest hits (which is practically every song they ever wrote). Disco, dance and bell bottom jumpsuits, this is going to be one for the books.

Nov 13: Rhye

From their ambiguous start, made even more ambiguous by the androgynous and illusive vocals of lead singer Mike Milosh, Rhye captivated listeners with their subdued R&B-influenced pop. Though it's technically early next week, you should snag your tickets while you still can and we expect them to be gone by next Monday.
