That's Shanghai takes a look at the best parties of the week.

With pop-ups and closures up and down Donghu Lu - from Monkey's last party on Saturday to the start of Elevator's month-long send off - it's sure to be busy on everyone's favorite YKL replacement. But Thursday to Sunday, there's a lot to get into, so here's a few on and off the infamous block.

Aug 30: Gallium Launch Party

Arkham is launching its new art-lounge concept tonight with a host of DJs and creative works by three different artists. Going for a chiller vibe than the main stage, you can expect lo-fi, house, vaporwave and a whole lot of downtempo from this batcave. Tickets include a drink, so you can check out one of the club's signature cocktails - we're a fan of the spicy Moscow Mule. Gallium runs all weekend, so be sure to give it a look if you're in the Found 158 area.

Aug 30, 10.30pm, RMB100. Arkham, see event listingbuy tickets.

Aug 31: Happy Ending Donut Pop-Up

This late-night donut pop-up on Donghu is a can't miss this weekend. Indulgence on another level, we're talkin' jelly donuts, classics, savory snacks, shot pairings and Peddler's Gin. And just look at that kitsch. As the night goes on, we expect things to get a little crowded (as they're right on Monkey's doorstep), so come early and come often - you don't want to miss this one.

Aug 31 - Sep 1, 9pm - 2am. Madison Kitchen, see event listing.

Aug 31: Martin Jensen
