Home to Sprout Lifestyle, Happy Buddha and Lizzy’s All Natural, The Healthy Hub announced that they will be closing their doors at the end of May. The statement was made on their official WeChat account last night:
“To Our Shanghai Community, The Healthy Hub... will be relocating at the end of May due to changes in the landlord. We will miss this special spot, and all of our supportive customers.”
Until then, Sprout Lifestyle will continue to offer their signature health food products and host cooking classes on the second floor. According to owner Lindsey Fine (pictured above), Happy Buddha will be back soon with a limited menu at Shaanxi Lu. Lizzy’s will continue to serve their bottled smoothies at the Healthy Hub and at Anken Life and More Than Eat.
The timing of the announcement is particularly sad, as it comes just after Fine successfully completed a successful crowdfunding campaign, which enabled her to relocate Happy Buddha to the ground floor of The Healthy Hub, next to Lizzy's All Natural.
But it’s not all sad news. Starting Saturday, Happy Buddha will be popping up at Bordertown. They’re also actively looking for a new location where they can continue to serve up their vegan creations.
The Healthy Hub also plans to look for a new home right here in Shanghai:
“The Healthy Hub brands would love to find a new location together in which they can carry out their mission of helping to make people happy and healthy through food, education and community. If you would like to partner with us, please contact Lindsey Fine on WeChat at Lindsey_Fine. Together we can continue to do what we love – to serve our community... Thank you all for your love and support!”
We'll keep you posted as we learn more.
