The BMW Driving Experience Centre (DEC) is a new landmark in the ultimate driving experience that delivers the joy of "pure driving" to zealous fans from all over the world.
In 2018, DEC is finally lifting its mysterious veil as it opens in Shanghai. At DEC, fans of BMW driving culture can get the opportunity to personally experience crazy tracks and show off their drifting and driving skills.
Ever wanted to test drive a BMW? Well now here's your chance! Take the front seat and become a racecar driver for a day at BMW Experience Shanghai Open Day, going down on January 27 and 28.
This is a marvelous event you don't want to miss. You can bring the whole family (or gang) along for two days of non-stop fun on the racetracks. That's Shanghai will also be there with a booth to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Stop One: Open Your Mind
Kid Karting
Karts are micro racecars with smaller bodies and a simple structure. Karting is commonly said to be a stepping stone into higher ranked motor sports such as F-1.
Models Provided: kid karts, two-man karts
Tracks: straight, right-angled bend, U-bend, S-bend, multiple obtuse-angled bend
Duration: Four laps/15 minutes per person (including two minutes of professional explanation and one minute of track maintenance)

Part 1: Furious Figure Eights Test Ride

Drifting Track: Figure Eight
Form: Test Ride Accompanied by Driving Genius
Duration: Two minutes a lap per person
Part 2: Lightning Gymkhana

Track: Gymkhana
Duration: Five minutes per person
Form: Complete the journey within the goal time
Part 3: Motorrad Culture
Models Provided: BMW Sport Motorrad
Track: Motorrad Slalom
Duration: Three minutes per person per lap
Part 4: Thrilling Off-Roading
Models Provided: BMW X5
Type: Test Ride
Duration: Five minutes per person
Stop Three: Race Car Accessories
Browse through the automotive flea market, where there will be a treasure hunt. There will also be tents to buy food and drinks.
Note: Drinking and driving is strictly prohibited. A valid Chinese license is required to drive.
