A recurring look at what's happening at Shanghai's art galleries:
1. Katsuki Nogami: Yamada Taro Project Shanghai
The
latest in the Foreign Bodies: Human Identities in a Posthuman World series puts the focus on Katsuki Nogami's Namada Taro citizens, which
move and act like humans but whose human faces are frozen images on an
iPad. On the opening day, visitors will be invited to lend their image
to be captured and used for these cyborg creations. Opens on Feb 24 from 6.30-9pm.

2. Chen Yujun: The House Cannot Forget and The River Never Remembers
BANK and Arario Gallery team up to present this two-part exhibition from the Fujian artist. His installation The House Cannot Forget will take over BANK that showcases his drawings and video work within an abstract dwelling that touches on the urbanization (and consequential demolition) of his hometown. Arario Gallery will show The River Never Remembers - mixed media and installation works taken from his Mulan River project.

3. Zhou Li: Shadow of the Wind
Yuz Museum presents the acclaimed contemporary artist's first solo exhibiton since her 2001 exhibition at the National Art Museum of China. For a decade, Zhou has been challenging her artistic tendencies and Shadow of the Wind is part of the results, with new abstract paintings created over the past two years. A sound installation based on the heart complements the works which explores perspectives.

4. Shanghai 2002
15 years ago, photographers Bettina Rheims and Serge Bramly released a series of photos of Women in Shanghai based on two extended stays. While their initial mission was to "search for the spirit of Shanghai's women," what they discovered was a city so fast moving with strong personalities across walks of life that is revisited in Shanghai 2002. Opens on Mar 2 from 6-7.30pm

5. 10 Years of Love
The Yongjia Lu gallery celebrates its milestone 10th anniversary with a group exhibition featuring some of their favorites like Eric Leleu, Howie Tsui, LLND, Li Lihong and more

6. Wang Dawei: Loners
In Loners, Wang Dawei showcases 15 new paintings, as well as paper works that were created during his stay in America that explores the restlessness and void sometimes found in urban life.
