Shanghai sports-friends, we're ready for you.
The Camel and That’s Shanghai Sports Awards are in the books for February 16 and we're accepting nominations from now until December 15.
Once a year, we gather to recognize those who have truly made their mark on the city’s sports scene: from the home-run hitters and KO punchers to those who lift up their mates when all seems lost. They’re our friends, our family and, occasionally, our blood-thirsty rivals.
We are now accepting nominations for this year’s 7th annual ceremony will feature three new categories for our future superstars: Under 18’s Team of the Year, Coach of the Year and Player of the Year as well as a raffle fundraiser for the Baobei foundation.
After last year's fundraising heroics, we will also be recognizing the sports team that raises the most money for charity over the course of the awards.
There are 16 awards across six categories in the general selection, plus three new Under-18s categories with six awards to be won, as follows:

Additionally, there will be one award for most charitable team. Some of you might remember last year when one team (lookin' at you Dolphins) raised money for a charity in order to gain votes. We welcome any other teams out there to put on their competitive faces and try to raise money for the charity of their choice during the period leading up to the sports awards. Most money raised, wins! Game on ;)

The event will take place at the Camel Sports Bar Puxi on Thursday February 16.
