Copycat Sculpture in Shanghai Getting Demolished

You know that sculpture we reported on yesterday? The one on the Huangpu that's almost exactly identical to one in London know as Timepiece?

Well it's getting demolished.

Yup. After being alerted to her piece being replicated in China, original sculptor Wendy Taylor CBE contacted the artists' rights organizations Dacs and UK and Chinese governments to see if anything could be done, and not thinking that anything would.

But, alas, there is one thing in China which cannot be copied: time.

The Pudong New Area Planning and Land Resources Administration says they will demoish the sculpture first thing today.
