This Saturday (Sep 24), Aboro Academy will be hosting Knock Out V, their fifth annual charity boxing event to raise money for the Aboro Foundation.
Founded by Michele Aboro and Yilan Yuen, the non-profit was established in 2012 to raise awareness on the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and to educate Shanghai's children on the benefits of sports and nuitrition.
Eight bouts will feature fighters invited from local gyms matched with Aboro Academy fighters, many of which have no prior experience in combat sport other than an intensive 12-week training program.
RMB100 gets you entrance to the event, all of which goes toward this great cause. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by scanning the QR below. There will also be plenty of food and drink vendors such as Lizzy's All Natural, Wheat Healthy Eatery, Pure and Whole, Funkadeli and more, for those who want to sit, stay, snack and drink for while. The event runs for eight hours (although you don't have to stay the whole time), but we reckon you might be feeling a bit parched after a while...
