Nothing says summer like a block party!
This Saturday (August 27) The District is throwing a 'Wet Hot Shanghai Summer Edition' streetside soiree with a few of our favorites taking over the bar and kitchen.
Logan Brouse (of Logan's Punch) and Johan Holmberg (formerly of The Parrot) will be shaking and stirring while Matt Rea (one half of Ruijin Cajun) will be on food duty. The food and drink lineup is still in the works, but expect 'summer camp' specials... spiked lemonade, pick backs, fried green tomato BLTs... You know, everything you used to eat as a kid.
Part of the money raised will be donated to Chi Fan for Charity to support Shanghai Young Bakers and Educating Girls of Rural China.
The party will rage from 3pm till late.
