The Great Shanghai F&B Cull of 2016 shows no sign of abating.
Paulaner, just around the corner on Fenyang Lu, was shuttered in late June. Then came the Shanghai-shattering news that Yongkang Lu was set for major cleansing, which is now underway and has led to bottles flying.
Now one of our moles tells us that the restaurants and bars along the entire west length of Dongping Lu and round into Wulumuqi Nan Lu will be shut down next month.
That would mean Shanghai Brewery, Spice Bazaar, glo London, Connoisseur and Black Bird.
Army issuing marching orders, apparently. The PLA has spoken. And when they say 'Get out!' you say 'How quickly?'
