The latest instalment of the 云CLOUD party series is headlined by the Portuguese producer spearheading a new sound from Lisbon’s housing estates that has been dubbed ‘batida’ or ‘batacuda.’ The extreme sound mixes African influenced dance styles like kuduro, kizomba, funana and tarraxinha with house and techno.

Aug 10: Dream Koala
The Parisian singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist has won approval from tastemakers like Vice and Dazed and Confused for his mix of dream pop, post-rock and other left-field sounds. He’ll be performing a live set for this Yeti organized show with support from Allan Marshall and Yeti B.

There might just be a few more weeks of parties at The Mansion, but this one looks like it will be special as it celebrates the rising B.T.C. Lab crew of underground electronic music producers coming out Hangzhou. Collective leader BadTooth will be joined by seven other producers to celebrate the compilation disc, Good Head Bad Tooth, which is full of new house and techno sounds plus some dark disco and acid. Guests will receive a free copy of the album.

The long-running resident at Shenzhen’s Bang Club headlines Sweatshop’s Homegrown series devoted to highlighting the movers and shakers in China’s drum’n’bass scene.
