It’s nigh on Easter time. Where in Shanghai can you celebrate, or just have a pleasant time? We’ve hunted and gathered events — including family-friendly ones — around town for you to peruse.

Easter Gospel Brunch at Liquid Laundry

Liquid Laundry is serving this holy combination of delicious eats and gospel classics sung by LaTrece Bracks (Home for the Holidays, Little Shop of Horrors). Performance is free and a la carte brunch will be served from 10am to 3pm. Reservations recommended.

Boxing Cat Brewery

All three locations of the Boxing Cat will be serving up a special Easter Sunday brunch menu perfect for all the kids with an Easter egg hunt that kicks off at noon sharp, as well as face and egg painting for the kids from noon to 2am.

Egg Hunt at Jump360

From Saturday through the Monday after Easter, Jump360 will be holding daily egg-hunts in their foam pits. If you find the blue egg foam blocks, you’ll win a free entry voucher. There will be two pits —one for kids under 1.3m, and one for taller kids.

Easter Celebration at Octave

The Child Enhancement Center at the Living Room by Octave is organizing a fun morning of Easter-related activities for kids aged 6 months to 6 years in both English and Chinese, including a Parent-Kid Hat Show, Mommy Rabbit Jump Jump, storytelling and much more. Families can also visit the farmer’s market at the Living Room patio.

Le Méridien Sheshan is inaugurating its Squirrel Kingdom on Easter Sunday, and celebrating with a lunch buffet. At 700 square meters, this complex was tailor-made for children’s enjoyment, and its namesake squirrels were trained to be friendly to strangers. On top of it all, kids will have activities including a clown and cartoon star parade.
