SHAKE and TouJAM present a 1950’s-style sock hop dance party full of early rock 'n' roll, rockabilly, jump blues, doo wop, and more. Headlining the night is JZ Artist Alec Haavik and his jump-blues band, The Jive Lizards. Whether it’s leading JZ's big band or jamming with metal bands, Alec is undoubtedly one of the baton holders in Shanghai's great legacy of musicians. Hosting and spinning vinyl is TouJAM's DJ BO, joined by Sly Boots, a vintage vinyl DJ from The Netherlands who has been collecting records for well over 25 years. He's coming through with a big box of vintage jump & jive, rock n' roll, rhythm & blues, and rockabilly 45’s to share. Look out for performances by the Soul City Swing and Blues Dancers and surprise guests at this time-warp of a night. Dinner and cocktails from 6:30pm, party from 9:30pm until late.
