Shanghai's most notorious, legendary, awarded dive bar is turning 20 years old!

Opened by sisters Jenny and Jessie in 2000, after taking the week-long slow boat down the river from their hometown Fengdu Ghost City near Chongqing -- which was getting drowned for the building of the Three Gorges Dam -- they found this bomb shelter and turned it into one of the coolest bars in Shanghai.   A delightfully dirty underground cave with a maze of graffiti sprayed rooms and halls, C's Bar is truly a Shanghai legend.   Countless DJs, event promoters, and future club owners all got their start here over the years.   It's been a haven for the counter-culture, the creative arts, the lost students, and everyone else.   Even Wong Kar Wai used it as a setting in a film with Andy Lau and Angelababy.
