- Makeup techniques such as face shading and contouring and how to fake the facial hair
- Imitating stereotypical masculine body language and movements
- Developing your own unique drag persona and mastering the essentials of drag performance, both on and off stage
- Costuming using the style of men's fashion known as Dandyism plus different ways of wearing neckties
