English paper piecing is a quilting technique used to hand sew intricate patchwork with the aid of paper templates, especially efficient with hexagons, challenging triangles, jewel shapes and many other irregular shapes.

It is very popularwith both new and seasoned quilters, once you try it, you will quickly see why: it’s easy, precise, meditative, portable and compact; most importantly, usingthis technique you can make beautiful quilts:

It’s also a good company when travelling, a.k.a. Quilt-As-You-Go, all you need are some scrap fabrics, a needle, thread, paper templates, a pair of scissors, a clip, and youare good to go!

On the class we will make a framed wall hanging. All the tools and materials needed, EXCEPT the frame, are provided for using on site. You can also use your own dyed fabric if you have joined the Indigo Workshop.

You can choose from different shapes of paper template, so be creative!
