In 2008, well before the Shanghai Breweries and Great Leaps of today, there was Boxing Cat. In 2008, when LA chef Kelley Lee, beer enthusiast Lee Tseng, and craft brewer Gary Heyne gathered over drinks, the three friends decided to take a gamble together, and Boxing Cat was born. 

Over the last decade we have been trailblazing the path for China’s craft beer revolution, with one dream in mind - to have everyone whom loves beer to join our journey and discover the extraordinary world of craft beer. 

In April, we officially hit 10 Years! We’re a bit late to celebrate (blame it on a crazy busy summer) but we’ve decided it’s officially time. We’re one of the first craft breweries in China lucky enough to celebrate an amazing 10 years of trailblazing in China!  Stay tuned for what we will achieve next!

For our 10 Year Anniversary, we went a little above and beyond. We got MJ to brew us one of our boldest recipes – Sugar Daddy Imperial Porter, a 10% creme brulee inspired brew. We have bottled and kegged the beer and will throw launch / anniversary parties in Shanghai. 

On December 8, we’ll have Sugar Daddy pouring, DJs on deck, some birthday cake to share, and raffle prizes for a TRIP FOR TWO to our beautiful Wuhan Brewery with the BCB team.
