The best jazz and the best red wines both complex – fruity, oak barrels, tannins, acidity, each individual can't measure the quality of a wine, only the right balance can achieve the perfection; Rhythm, harmony, melody, voicing,  jazz is listening while improvising, highlighting the tension of each part while achieving a complex balance.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai teamed up with New Zealand's leading wine brand Escarpment to analyze the geometric relationship between different jazz styles and wines, and to present a duo of taste buds and hearing sensation.

On that evening, Walter Blanding, the chief saxophonist at Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, will explain how to listen to jazz and analyze the most representative style of jazz in combination with the characteristics of wine.
