Only a few times per year does China get to experience the allure of a prominent international touring reggae artist. So when a renowned artist like Mr. Williamz comes to town, people notice.

A true reggae and dancehall veteran, Mr. Williamz got his start at the age of 8 competing in sound clashes. His debut single “Babylon in Helicopter” was released in 2008, and quickly topped charts in the US and Europe. Since then, he’s had a slew of reggae anthems, dancehall cuts, and drum’n’bass features alongside artists like Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Shy FX, and on labels including Jahtari and Necessary Mayhem. His sets are a lively mix of these genres with a modern and hard-hitting touch.

Catch Mr. Williamz on September 21 at LOFAS supported by the Shanghai Dancehall crew, five reggae/dancehall DJs with regular parties throughout the city, DJ Laobang, OGYY of Breakjam Sound, Dubshottas, Shanghai Yard, and Kyle B. Tickets are 100RMB at the door and music starts at 10pm.
