About 20 years ago, the earliest post-rock bands appeared in China, including Godot, Prague, Wangwen, Zhaoze and younger ones such as 48V, Grace Latecomer and Hualun started to release albums and perform seriously. After that, some new post-rock bands start to be known, like pentatonic, Summer Fades Away, Sparrow and Amber.
Amber has only one album, Drunk Star, released in 2011. For many audiences, Drunk Star is a representative work of Chinese post-rock. Thanks to its bright tune, Amber is regarded as the most romantic and graceful post-rock band in China.
Amber hasn’t toured yet, but in a few days, the beloved band will become history. Amber will perform in 12 cities in the mid-east part of China, with a 90-minute show that includes some new works that haven’t been released yet. If you are interested in dreaming with our silent dreamer, don’t miss it.
