Design Republic Description

The JNL Design Commune is located in the Jing'an District of Shanghai. Designed by Neri&Hu Design and Research Office. It is a reinstated modern architecture/interior insertion onto a historic 1940’s British colonial brick building Housing a multi-functional complex of modern furniture showroom (Design Republic Flagship store), design bookstore, café, the office of Shanghai’s Design Center and Shanghai’s first Design Museum. The Design Commune is the center of city-wide design Initiatives, in spirit and in actuality, cultivating Shanghai’s burgeoning taste for modern design.
