Dong Tai Xiang is a veteran Shanghainese xiaochi (snack) restaurant, serving a selection of dumplings, noodles and wontons. Particular favorites include the pan-fried soup dumplings (shengjian bao, 生煎包), 'big wontons' in peanut sauce (da hundun, 大馄饨) and 'small wontons' in broth (xiao hundun, 小馄饨). Their quintessentially Shanghainese scallion oil noodles (congyou banmian 葱油拌面) are also some of the best in the city.
