Delivering a menu of seasonal Mediterranean food from the heart of Jing'an, Calypso is one of the more aesthetically unique restaurants in Shanghai thanks to its design by Pritzker Prize-winning Japanese architect Shigeru Ban. Suited to lunches and dinners alike, Calypso is that rare bird that lends itself to both casual and more formal occasions. Expect dishes such as crustacean-studded seafood paella, pastas, pizzas, charcuterie and more, with a robust wine list of primarily Old World vintages. Both local and international cards are accepted.
