Guangzhou R&F vs Guangzhou Evergrande
R&F took on Evergrande at the Yuexiushan Stadium, with the home side chasing a Champions League spot and the visitors the league title. After having a perfectly good goal ruled out for offside, R&F looked like they were going to be humiliated on home turf by their city rivals, with three goals in the space of ten minutes from Gilardino and two from league top scorer Elkeson seeing them 3-0 by the 35th minute.
R&F staged an incredible second half comeback though, with goals from Lu Lin, Jiang Ning and Hamdallah looking to have earned them a point. It was not to be, with an injury time winner in injury time for Rene keeping Evergrande on track for their fourth successive title.
