On July 11, Swire Properties and Disney China launched 'Let’s Keep It Real', a summer pop‑up activation at Taikoo Hui Guangzhou based on Disney’s campaign of the same name.
Following its debut in Shanghai, the experience now invites visitors through three creatively themed spaces designed to bring Disney characters into an urban lifestyle setting.
Three Real‑Life Scenes, One Unreal Adventure
Mickey’s Fashion Block (M‑Floor Atrium)
Guests step into Mickey’s stylish neighborhood: ride in a retro cable car, hunt for AR photo zones with Chip ‘n’ Dale, and drop in on Donald’s book club—each corner is an Instagrammable moment.Mickey’s Living Room (L3 Glass House)
Curated with artist Darren Romanelli and lifestyle brand SUNDAY HOME, this lounge debuts exclusive collabs like a glow‑in‑the‑dark Mickey inflatable sofa (limited to 100 worldwide) and oversized Mickey hand lamps.Mickey’s Sports Garden (L3 Rooftop)
A playful wellness zone featuring Minnie‑led yoga sessions, Daisy’s pickleball tournaments, and Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Wing Chun masterclass—fusing local culture with Disney whimsy.
Interactive 'Z Coins' reward check-ins, allowing guests to unlock participation in sports tournaments or art workshops.
The experience features localized touches—such as Cantonese dim sum corners and hidden Mickey motifs—celebrating the intersection of Disney and Guangzhou lifestyle.
“This isn’t just a display; it’s a call to live authentically,” commented a Disney China representative. “When Mickey does yoga beside a Lingnan-style pavilion, we prove joy is simple—just keep it real.”
The event runs from July 11 to August 31, transforming Disney magic into a cultural canvas rooted in the city’s character.
