With less than a week to go until the official opening of the Hangzhou Asian Games this Friday, ticket sales are in full swing.
But do you know which event has the most expensive tickets at this year's games?
In a surprising turn of events, it's not a traditional sport, but rather esports that's stealing the limelight.
These digital competitions, introduced at just the last edition of the Asian Games, have proven to be immensely popular, even boasting the priciest tickets of the entire event.
In fact, esports – or electronic sports – is the only event at the Hangzhou Asian Games that requires a 'lucky draw' to determine ticket eligibility.

Not only that, the ticket prices are surprisingly steep, with the highest single-ticket price reaching a whopping RMB1,000.
According to official Hangzhou Asian Games data, the number of applicants seeking esports tickets has surpassed 5 million.
However, each event's venue can accommodate a maximum of just 4,000 audiences, leading to incredibly low odds of securing a ticket, leading to a ticket-buying challenge that rivals even the Olympics!
