As a result, both individuals have been permanently banned from entering the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, including the Panda Valley.

A male visitor named Han, 39 years old, was observed feeding bamboo shoots to a young panda in the activity area of the young panda villa at 2.20pm on August 26.

A female visitor named Liang, 51 years old, was witnessed feeding peanuts to a young panda in the same area at 3pm the same day.

In both cases, staff members intervened, removing the foreign objects, and clearing the area.

A thorough examination and observation confirmed that the health of the affected pandas remained normal.

The Panda Breeding Base made assurances that they will continue to monitor the well-being of every panda under their care, ensuring their health and safety.

Improper feeding of animals in zoos can lead to irreversible consequences.
