Experience the coolest of two cities and indulge in a spicy summer. The W Flavor Journey officially kicked off on June 16, 2023, at the renowned Western Restaurant of W Hotel Guangzhou, with Chengdu chosen as the first culinary destination. Leo Tang, the Culinary Director of W Hotel Guangzhou, joined forces with a guest chef from W Chengdu, using authentic ingredients and employing creative cooking techniques to bring the people of Guangzhou a truly authentic Sichuan feast. On the opening day, Cathy, a guest mixologist from The Ritz-Carlton in Haikou, will join you to explore the world of creative mixology.
Leo Tang is a master of culinary playfulness, well-versed in 24 flavors, and born in Chengdu, he is intimately familiar with the characteristics and cooking techniques of Sichuan cuisine. In addition to the distinctive dishes, during the Flavor Journey, diners can immerse themselves in the charm of intangible cultural heritage and experience traditional Chengdu culture through live Kung Fu tea performances and Sichuan opera face-changing shows. All diners can also participate in fun interactive scratch card games with prizes including room vouchers, dining vouchers, and specially designed panda plush toys for this event.
During the one-and-a-half-month spicy journey, in addition to the featured seafood and meat stalls available daily at the flagship restaurant, Leo Tang, the head chef, will also present a series of signature Chengdu dishes.
