Make your New Year’s Eve celebrations a night to remember at InterContinental Exhibition Center Guangzhou. This year’s countdown party will have live band music, superstar guest DJ Ironman, games and, a huge selection of food and the bar will be open all night.
On New Year's Eve everyone parties until late and getting a cab home is always trouble. InterContinental Guangzhou Exhibition Center offers a fabulous staycation for you, during which time you can enjoy beautiful city or river views. Late check out is also availabe so you can start the New Year with a much needed rest.
Event Rundown
The party starts at 9pm with some light refreshments, such as bread sticks, spicy cashew nuts, sweet potato fries with sour cream and ketchup.
At 9.30pm to 12.30am it's time to mingle and get in the party mood. Waiters will be serving a selection of skewers, including yakitori chicken and pork lemongrass skewers, asparagus skewers and bacon and mushroom skewers. There will also be crab cakes with spicy sauce, mini pizzas and fruit sticks.
The big countdown preparations will begin at 11.50pm, make sure you and your friends are all together to bring in the New Year. There will also be some fresh berry tart and croquembouche, rich coconut small cake and blueberry cheesecake.
Guests will also have the chance to meet DJ Ironman and take pictures before enjoying his live DJ set.

Standard ticket package: one countdown party ticket with snacks and drinks, RMB398 per person.
CHAR bar and grill set menu meal (valued at RMB1586) and one countdown party ticket, RMB1288 per person.
Cafe Aqua Dinner Buffet and one countdown party ticket, RMB 688 per person (total price for both the buffet and countdown party ticket is valued at RMB 986).

Games
Use WeChat to scan the QR code and enter the games, ‘Horse Racing’, ‘Tree Climb’ and ‘Bullish'. Shake your phone to move your character towards the finish line and win the race. First place contestants will receive three marbles, second place will receive two, and third place will receive one. Every marble is worth ten points and points can be exchanged for prizes.
When each guest enters the arena, they will get a clip. Guests will then be randomly matched with another guest. Each pair of guests will compete in front of the referee, the winner will take their opponents clip. If you beat your opponent, you can find another guest to challenge and try and take their clip. One clip equals point and points can be traded for prizes!
When each guest enters the venue, they will be given a card to write down three lucky numbers from one to ten. Numbers will be drawn from a box over three rounds. If your number is drawn from the box you will get a gift and 15 points for every number drawn.
