Jul 10-11: Hiking/Pliking (Plogging + Hiking)
Calling for all hiking lovers! If you find yourself quite into environmental care and have been seeking a bit more fun than simply plogging in the city. Contact the organizer via WeChat if interested: gnohz7.
Sat-Sun Jul 10-11, 9am; Huolu Mountain Forest Park.
Until Jul 11: Art Exhibition of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China
Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China at Guangdong Museum of Art. The exhibition closely follows the theme of the centennial of the founding of the CPC. The exhibition comprises a variety of party history themes and realistic works, and it also covers traditional Chinese painting, oil painting and other painting categories. Let's read, learn and remember the history of the CPC. There’s a little red in all of us.
Until Jul 11, Tue-Sun 9am-5pm, Mon (closed); Guangdong Museum of Art.
Until Aug 8: Oil Painting Exhibition of ‘The Calm 帕罗西汀’
Dutch artists Donald Schenkel and Jan Kuhlemeier’s oil painting exhibition is held in ART23. The artists exert the effect of color to the extreme. The paintings are mainly in the form of gradation – a series of successive changes. The simplicity can envoke an almost contemplative feeling of peace. If you’ve been feeling stressed recently, you can come and relax. Click here to learn more.
Until Aug 8, Tue-Fri 2-6.30pm, Sat&Sun 11am-7pm; RMB29; ART23.
