If you’ve been to Bao’an district you’ve probably spotted the large 128-meter Ferris wheel, called Bay Glory.

The attraction will finally be open on April 18 for the public to ride and will cost RMB150 during weekdays and RMB180 during the holidays.

The ride lasts 27 minutes and some staff from other OCT properties like Happy Valley have already tested the Ferris wheel last Thursday.

Final touches such as lights will be added this month before the ride will open.

The Ferris wheel has 28 gondolas and each has a maximum capacity of 25 passengers. From the top of the wheel, you can view the scenery of Bao’an Center and Qianhai Bay.

Shenzhen Daily also reports that there will be “themed cabins, such as a wedding-themed cabin and a food-themed cabin.” We’re not entirely sure what that means but wouldn’t be surprised if some wedding photo-ops take place in the gondolas.

In 2018, when the project was first announced, the wheel was intended to be spokeless and was slated to open in 2020 (one year late, not bad). Bay Glory will be the second tallest Ferris wheel in China, just after the Star of Nanchang in Jiangxi province, which stands at 160 meters.
