Fri Sept 25: American Town Hall
The U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou invites all American citizens and their immediate family members to a Town Hall event, “2020: Navigating the New Normal,” at the Consulate’s Lincoln Hall. They will provide information on U.S. Consulate services and adapting to life in China after COVID-19. Consulate staff will be on hand to answer questions about a range of issues, including US visas, passports and other American citizen services, and voting in the 2020 election. US passport holders can show their passport and show up, while non-US passport holders need to have registered by September 19.

Sun Sept 27: Third Chinese Movie Night
Dongshankou’s third Chinese movie night is happening on Sunday. The film is a breathtaking story showcasing one of the most famous Suona musical pieces. The story talks about two generations of Suona musicians and the conflict between carrying on their heritage and survival in a fast-changing China. The film will be played in open air cinema in Triple Rooster, Dongshankou. It will be shown the original language (Mandarin) with bilingual (English and Chinese) subtitles. Come out and enjoy a relaxing evening with friends and theatre.
