Cycle Canton has two upcoming countryside cycle tours for folks looking to escape the concrete jungle and cruise the beautiful open roads in Guangzhou’s rural areas. Called the ‘Into the Great Wide Open’ tour, expect awesome routes through rice fields, fruit orchards, ancient villages and small mountains in the idyllic landscapes of Zengcheng district. The tour finishes up beside the Zeng River, where riders can finish the day with a dip in a mountain stream and a classic beach BBQ with cold beer. (You’ve earned it.)
