The March issue of That’s GBA is out now, in both paper-and-ink form citywide and digital PDF form on our website. Here, Editor-in-Chief Matthew Bossons introduces the magazine:
Stating that the last two months have been a rollercoaster would be an understatement. The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has upended markets, forced the lockdown of major metropolises and severely impacted global travel. On a personal level, the disease cut short my Spring Festival plans and forced several friends visiting from Canada to head home early. It also resulted in my wife, daughter and I self-quarantining for several weeks, which proved to be an incredibly boring undertaking. (I watched more Dora the Explorer than any grown man ever should, period.)
For this month’s cover story – and for most of this issue, for that matter – we have chosen to examine the impact of COVID-19 on those of us living in China. I won’t bother going into too much detail, but I can assure you that our coverage of the coronavirus is informative and extensive – covering safety, event cancellations and the disease’s effect on China’s F&B scene.
I’m going to keep this month’s note relatively short, but before I wrap it up, I want to personally address all our readers and remind them to stay safe and healthy during these difficult times. I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the brave folks working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 outbreak, our thoughts are with all of them and their families.
Stay safe and keep optimistic,
Matthew Bossons
