The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou Presents Brunch en Blanc

The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou’s highly anticipated Awfully Brunch returns on Sunday, June 2, 2019, from 11am to 2.30pm with a white theme.

Inspired by the internationally renowned Diner en Blanc, the annual Champagne Awfully Brunch extravaganza will transform the hotel’s Grand Ballroom into several ‘live’ food stations and a cocktail bar – all decked out in white elements. Guests can also look forward to savoring a plethora of epicurean delights handcrafted by Executive Chef Lincoln Lim and his culinary team.

Guests will be spoiled for choices, with bountiful delicacies from world-famous cuisines from Europe to the exotic shores of Southeast Asia: fresh seafood from Fisherman’s Catch, including Boston lobster, tiger prawns, flower crabs and freshly shucked oysters; giant tuna sashimi from Japan; ‘OP’prime rib; pan-seared foie gras and Singapore black pepper crab.

Local delights from the Michelin One-Star Chinese culinary team include Cantonese dim sum, Peking duck and Lai Heen’s specialty noodles with truffle sauce. In addition, an array of New- and Old-World cheeses and a variety of desserts will be served to satisfy all palates.

The convivial atmosphere will be enhanced by an R&B performance from a live band, samba dance and air ballet. Little ones will be entertained with checkers games, a clip doll machine and many more enjoyable activities.

Awfully Brunch

In March 2018, a 1,209-square-meter brunch spectacle which spanned the entire Grand Ballroom was introduced to showcase the combined expertise of the hotel’s culinary team, visiting guest chefs and the legendary service of the ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou. Executive Chef Lincoln Lim conceived the idea of two themed Awfully Brunches, under the themes ‘Wanderlust Market’ and ‘Incredible Cruise’ in 2018, to showcase the immense creativity of the culinary team in creating an unmatched brunch experience.
