That’s PRD takes a look at the best of the week:

Mon, Jun 25: Joce Minniel

French flutist Joce Mienniel is adept at communicating emotions in hypnotic, electrified tones. His ensemble is composed of musicians who take unique approaches to their respective instruments, from a powerful drummer to a guitarist with a broad and expansive sound to a keyboard player who plays with texture and detail.

Tue, Jun 26: Almeeva

Frenchman Gregory Hoepffner, aka Almeeva, is a multi-instrumentalist and video producer who is trying to construct his own musical aesthetic with independent, post-modern imagery. His second EP Oblite is filled with reflections on the November 2015 Paris attacks. Almeeva’s live performances are similarly intense: He plays guitar, grabs the mic on occasion and uses a drumstick to create beats, all while keeping a synthesizer close at hand.
