November 9 saw more than 600 people absorb a melange of Spanish food, drink, music and culture at the biggest celebration of Latin culture South China has to offer.
Now in its fifth year, the Latin Festival saw dancers demonstrate scintillating salsa, tango and bachata moves, with performances from Maggie Salsa, Tango Milonguero Argentino, the Martin Reyes Band and Latin Soul Mafia. Attendees also snapped up a range of raffle prizes, from luxurious spa treatments to exotic hotel getaways. As one would expect from a Spanish fiesta, the night lasted all day and continued into the night at that homage to South American rebellion, Zapata's.
If you missed out on the festival, never fear: the Spanish Chamber of Commerce will be organizing the next one for the spring of 2014. Keep you eyes peeled for more information nearer the time.
