Mar 28-29: The Seagull
Four-act comedy The Seagull, considered one of Russian playwright Anton Chekhov’s best works, confronts the conflict between art and daily life with heart. Lithuania OKT Theatre’s recreation also bursts with humor, and has garnered rave reviews from critics.

Mar 30: We Lost the Sea
Sydney-based instrumental band We Lost the Sea are known for “crushing guitar noise with dark melodic atmospherics.” Their live shows are an aural journey packed with emotion, drifting highs and intense, crushing lows. During their first tour of China, the Australian group will be performing powerful tunes from the album Departure Songs.

Mar 30: Jane Eyre
When the Chapterhouse Theatre Company staged Emily Bronte’s classic love story Wuthering Heights in 2014, it was met with critical acclaim. The British touring theater is now following up with a Jane Eyre performance in Guangzhou. Founded in 1999, Chapterhouse Theatre Company specializes in performing outside, under the stars and inside some of the UK's most beautiful gardens.

Mar 30: Poison
This month, Beijing Dance Theater brings Poison to Guangzhou. Inspired by Charles Baudelaire's modernist poetry collection The Flowers of Evil, this musically-driven three-act dance performance attempts to manifest the eternal conflict between good and evil, beauty and ugliness.

Mar 31: Paellas
Paellas is an independent rock band based in Tokyo. Their eclectic compositions – indie rock fused with R&B, the coldness of house music and fluent strokes of funk guitar – convey a melancholy feel that will resonate with urban dwellers. Paellas is touring to promote their latest album, Yours, across four Chinese cities this month.

Mar 31-Apr 1: Easter Specials at Gail’s
Spend a lovely Easter weekend at Gail’s where a special three-course set meal – Easter egg salad, lamb chops with grilled vegetables and carrot cake – awaits. The restaurant's regular weekend brunches will offer free refills of tea and coffee this Saturday and Sunday. Plus, kids under 10 get free hash browns if they paint an egg.

Apr 1: Aga-Boom
Coming straight out of Las Vegas, Aga-Boom is a physical comedy production that combines classical theater with clowning. Transcending language and culture using the ancient art of slapstick, the show has been described by critics as both pure family fun and literally riotous.

Apr 1: Easter Party at Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou
Bring the whole family to Shangri-La’s fairy tale-themed Easter Sunday, where an Enchanted Forest and more await. Kiddies can play with cute genies and join in what's possibly the biggest egg hunt in town.
