St. Patrick’s Day is upon us, which means it’s time to sport your greenest outfits and blast Bono full volume. To help you celebrate (aka: get drunk), we’ve rounded up some of the best St. Patrick’s Day parties and specials. From green pints to Celtic folk tunes, you can celebrate with Guangzhou’s lads and lasses in true Irish style.

The Brew (Zhujiang)

At The Brew Zhujiang, RMB25 Jameson, RMB68 cod fish and chips, as well as a RMB25 drink menu are slated for this St. Patrick’s. Don’t forget to come in green for a free shot to start a night of drunken revelry.

Mar 17. The Brew Bar and Bistro (Zhujiang).

Canton Tower

With support from the Irish consulate and Tourism Ireland, the sixth edition of this St. Patrick’s Day fest, co-hosted by That’s PRD, celebrates the best of the Emerald Isle's cultural heritage. This year’s event will feature Irish bands, whiskey, tap dancing and a camping experience, all while the Canton Tower is illuminated in Celtic green.

Mar 17, 3-8pm; RMB20 for adults, free for children. Banquet Hall, 2/F, Canton Tower

Gail’s

Take advantage of RMB25 shots of good ol’ Jameson whiskey at Gail’s, or indulge in the special Colcannon shepherd’s pie for RMB78.

Mar 17, all day. Gail’s American Cuisine & Bar.

Ginstar (Zhujiang)

An all-day special is on offer at Ginstar’s Zhujiang branch: wear something green to get a free welcome shot.

Mar 17, all day. Ginstar (Zhujiang)

Hooley’s

Irish establishment Hooley’s is a natural top choice for a little St. Patrick’s Day debauchery. Two bands are set to hit the stage on the 15th and 17th, while Irish food and drink specials will be on offer on the 18th.

Mar 15-18. Hooley’s Irish Pub & Restaurant

Morgan’s

Pop in at Morgan’s and try their specially-made Irish stew comprised of lamb, carrots, onions and potatoes. Other specials include the beef and Guinness pie, priced at RMB78, and RMB50 double Jameson and Bailey's Irish cream.

Mar 17; RMB68 for Irish stew. Morgan’s Public House.

The Paddy Field

Guangzhou's original Irish bar and restaurant has provided an authentic Celtic atmosphere over the past decade. On St. Patrick’s Day, enjoy specials on Guinness and a commemorative tee. A live performance by an authentic Irish band will also be featured.

Mar 16-18. The Paddy Field

Rebel Rebel

Buy two green beers or pints of Murphy’s stout and get one free at Rebel Rebel. Come and rock with live band Easy Tiger, who will be performing from 10pm onwards.

Mar 17. Rebel Rebel Cafe & Bar

Zapata’s

At the Green Party at Zapata’s, dubbed the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in town, free flow festive frozen margaritas will be served to ladies in green from 9-10pm, while green beer and tequila will retail at RMB35. The band Viva will entertain the crowd starting at 9pm.

Mar 16-17. Zapata’s.

Slow Life

On St. Patrick's Day, wear something green and dine at Slow Life to get a 10 percent discount on your meal.

Mar 17. Slow Life.
