Feb 5-9: BSG China Week
From February 5-9, the British School of Guangzhou will hold its annual China Week to welcome the Year of the Dog. This event includes arts and crafts, dragon dances, cooking classes and a special dress-up day to celebrate Chinese culture.

Feb 6: Children’s Ballet – Swan Lake
Guangzhou Opera House’s very own pint-sized ballet troupe will stage the time-tested Swan Lake. Performed by the most talented child ballerinas in the city, it is guaranteed to be a treat for the whole family.

Feb 9: Yellow Claw
Excelling at trap, hip hop, dubstep and electro house, Yellow Claw built up their popularity by hosting Thursday night parties at one of Amsterdam’s most popular nightclubs. Plus, the trio's top two hit songs ‘Thunder’ and ‘Last Night Ever' topped every music chart in Holland in 2012.

Feb 10: DrewsThatDude
Grammy-nominated pianist and producer DrewsThatDude is in town this weekend. The New Yorker boasts a style that combines left-field beats with R&B. Catch him performing live at Hangover.

If you’re looking for CNY decorations, snacks and or goodies to gift your loved ones, this fair, now in its 12th year, is where you want to go. Taking place before Spring Festival, the market is the largest of its kind in the city and offers a great array of goods.

All month: Hot Pot Feast at Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun
The hot pot selection on offer at Hilton Guangzhou Baiyun will make this winter a belly-warming one. Delight in an array of clay-pot specialties, including mutton, beef, chicken, abalone, duck, goose, hairy crab and more at all-day dining restaurant Senses. Meanwhile, Chinese restaurant The China Club has a semi-buffet hot pot experience prepared by an experienced team of Chinese chefs. Ongoing: Blue Timezone
The color blue appears time and again as a motif in the works of Nuria Rossell, Rosa Solano and Yang Shun, three female, Barcelona-based artists. The three come from different backgrounds and have varying interpretations but their work shares common themes of refinement, certainty, detachment and emotion. In admiring the brushstrokes of these three women, audiences too may find common ground.

Take to the skies above Panyu’s Seagull Island in an ultralight trike, a powered hang glider which is controlled during flight by shifting your weight.
