Music fans take note: Guangzhou is hosting four fantastic musical performances this weekend. From indie rock to EDM, there is something for everyone!
Jan 18: Dirty Fingers @ 191 Space
Dirty Fingers return to Guangzhou on the tail end of their national tour, and you can expect things in 191 Space to get a bit wild and sweaty. With local punk act Die!ChiwawaDie! playing in support of the Shanghai band, there will be little chance of reprieve from the brutal rock standards of either band. In their penultimate gig of a 13-date tour, the boys will be keen to sign off on a high note.

Jan 20: Foster the People @ Central Station
All of you kids with the ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ better run and get your tickets for this show, which sees Foster the People make their way to Guangzhou as part of their China Tour in support of their most recent album, Sacred Hearts Club. While they may be best known for their 2010 smash hit ‘Pumped Up Kicks,’ there’s more to the band than sinister lyrics juxtaposed with sunny beats.

Jan 20: Starcluster Music Fourth Anniversary @ Mao Livehouse
Shanghai Independent Music Label Starcluster will celebrate their fourth anniversary this weekend with a night stocked with some of the label’s best bands in Guangzhou’s newest music venue, Mao Livehouse. Catch bands like BeatGeneration1980s, An Empty City and Return to Sender before they make their way back to Shanghai.

Chimelong Paradise will provide the stage for one of the most exciting music events of the year, as internationally renowned house music DJs such as Steve Aoki, Showtek and more come to play for adoring fans. The theme park is the perfect setting for all of you big kids looking to enjoy some throbbing bass and electronic hooks under bright lights.
