Almost 1,200 drones took to the sky last night in Guangzhou’s Zhujiang New Town, performing a variety of synchronized aerial maneuvers to create words, messages and images in the sky.
According to a report by Southern Metropolis Daily, a total of 1,180 unmanned aerial vehicles participated in the show, which was hosted in honor of the Fortune Global Forum in Guangzhou.
The UAVs created a number of different aerial messages and images, including the phrase ‘I ♥ GZ’ and an all-red map of China.

This is not the first time drones have taken to the sky in the Huacheng and Haixinsha areas. Back in February, thousands of drones took flight above Zhujiang New Town to celebrate the Lantern Festival.
