October 12: German Wine Tasting
Germany is one of our planet's most northerly wine regions and, with a cool climate, produces fruity, aromatic wines with a low alcohol percentage. This week, join Meyer-Nahkel, a five-generation winery in Ahr (one of the country’s 13 wine regions), to sample the best wines they have to offer. Each wine variety will be paired with international cuisine. To reserve your spot, email chamber@gz.china.ahk.de before October 11.

October 13: Diana Panton
Quietly rising on the jazz scene today, Canadian jazz songstress Diana Panton has touched the heartstrings of both listeners and music critics with her ethereal vocals, outstanding song selection and emotional intensity. Her latest album I Believe in Little Things has gone to number one on iTunes and Amazon in Canada and the US.

October 13: Danny Ayer
American musician Danny Ayer’s work has appeared in popular TV shows like The Vampire Diaries and Hunting Season. Fans rave about his unique musical style and sexy voice. Some of his singles, such as ‘Seventeen,’ ‘My Hand’ and ‘Black Diamond,’ are particularly popular among Chinese listeners.

October 14: Glory World Series
The Glory World Series is undoubtedly the world’s biggest free combat stage, where martial arts athletes highly skilled in a wide range of combat disciplines (including Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing, karate, kung fu, tae kwon do and capoeira) compete with each other. This month, some of the top fighters on the planet will gather in Guangzhou, Glory's first stop in China this year.

October 14: Sumeru
Guangzhou-based choreographer Liuqi’s elaborate work Sumeru focuses on body movement. Gravity, energy and temperature are used to guide body motions and create a dynamic stage effect.

October 14: Start Again
Chinese independent musician Qiuye (秋野) is touring China on his motorcycle and with a guitar, from as north as Changchun in Jilin province to as south as Haikou in Hainan, to as west as Urumqi. This week, stopping by Guangzhou, the biker slash singer-songwriter will bring some of his best hits. Don’t miss it!

October 15: Ryo Natoyama
Japanese ukulele performer Ryo Natoyama began performing at age 14 and is what one would call a child prodigy. Having released nine albums, Natoyama is active on stage the world over. This week, he is visiting Guangzhou to serenade the city’s ukulele lovers.

October 15: Andrei Gavrilov
A Swiss pianist with a Russian background, Andrei Gavrilov grew up in a family of artists and went on to become a brilliant musician himself. By 1980, Gavrilov had performed in almost all of the world’s important concert halls. During his Chinese tour, Gavrilov will perform Bach’s Goldberg Variations.

Ongoing: Gold Age – The Treasure of the Russian Empire
The Russian Empire, expanding from 1721-1917, was founded by Peter the Great, who started Russia’s golden age, while Catherine II was one of only two rulers to be called ‘the Great’ throughout the history of the world’s largest country by territory.
A total of 302 items from the Russian State Historic Museum will be showcased in this exhibition, from portraits of emperors, statues, attires, royal china, silverware, glassware and top-of-the-line Faberge jewels, offering an inside look at the royalty of the Russian Empire.
