Calling all aspiring rockers, hip hoppers, jazz jammers, grunge gurus, DJs and everyone else in between: Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen wants to plug you in!
The new hotel, the first of its kind in Chinese mainland, is on the hunt for musical acts to hit the stage and perform for its eclectic, music-loving clientele.
In addition to musical acts, the hotel is also encouraging talents from other disciplines of live performances, however creative and unique, to try out.
Aiming to launch the Pearl River Delta’s next ‘big thing,’ Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen will hold two rounds of auditions next month, one for bands on September 29 and another for DJs on September 30.
But first, how can you submit a video of your work for consideration? Easy – through NetEase Cloud Music (official account ID: HardRockHotelShenzhen). Submissions will run from August 26 till September 10 and be followed by online voting from September 11-19.
Invitations to audition will be sent out on September 20 to the acts that garner the most online votes. Among the top five acts in each category that have received the most public votes, three final candidates will be selected by a panel of Hard Rock judges and invited to a final showdown at Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen. There they will perform live in front of representatives from prominent talent agencies and record labels. The final showdown will also be streamed online.
Finalists will be offered free luxury accommodation at the hotel to participate in the final showdown, while the winning acts will receive exciting performance opportunities at Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen as house DJs, guest bands or for special appearances at events, on top of other attractive prizes from Hard Rock.
Could the next Tiesto, Kirk Hammett or Ariana Grande be based right here in China? It appears the Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen intends to find out!
