July 4: Boiler Room Debut in Guangzhou
Joined by Budweiser, Boiler Room, a global online music project, is making their debut in Guangzhou this week on the theme of house and techno music. July 6: Convulsif
Classical instruments have an evil side, as is proved by the music of the Swiss metal band Convulsif. Composed of bass, drums, clarinet and a violin, this band is bringing their special style to Guangzhou's SD Livehouse. Click here to buy tickets.

July 6: Puppy Bingo
A fundraiser will be held at the Brew Zhujiang on Thursday evening in order to better the conditions of those dogs rescued from a truck bound for the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Join Guangzhou’s dog lovers for a night filled with raffles prizes, actions and a fun game of ‘Puppy Bingo.’

July 7: Jochen Miller in W Guangzhou
Hailing from Holland, Jochen Miller has regularly performed prime stages at major festivals and events, including EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Miami, Tomorrowland and Kings Day. Aside from killing the festival circuit and performing alongside the likes of Armin van Buuren, Jochen has also placed first in the Dutch Mixing Contest at Dance Valley. July 8: Moulin Rouge Party at Mandarin Oriental
Remember that spectacular Oscar-winning musical from 2001 that started Nicole Kidman and Obi-Wan Kenobi? What was it called again? Ah yes: Moulin Rouge. If you are a fan of the film, or the 127-year-old French cabaret of the same name, then attending the Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou’s Moulin Rouge Party on July 8 is an absolute must!
The revelry will kick off at 8pm in Ebony and Jin Bar and feature can-can dancers, free-flow of gin-infusions created by Jin Bar and scrumptious canapés.
Guests will be dazzled by an unforgettable DJ performance and live entertainment, the details of which are a tight-lipped secret. Naturally, there will also be a lucky draw. One of famous French playwright Molière’s most representative works, L’Avare (also known as The Miser) is a comedy-drama that portrays the meanness and absurdity of a loan shark who loves money. July 9: Splashh
