After a three-month-long hiatus, The Salon has returned to Guangzhou and will host a gathering themed ‘Comm(unity)’ this Sunday night, April 9 at 8.30pm.
Never been before? Curious what it’s all about?
The idea of a salon is simple: set a time and place and invite people to show up, share their art and ideas and grow via conversation. The Salon is exactly that. Hosts Ariana and Rowley aim to connect and collaborate with attendees. The ultimate aim is to be present to an artful happening.
Salons are a reflection of the people and ideas present. The salon on April 9 is themed ‘Comm(unity)’ and invites you to share your art, the purest expression of you. Bring your words, songs, dance, ideas and good vibes.
If it’s your first time and you don’t feel like sharing, that’s okay: attendees are welcome to come and listen.
Of the salon scheduled for this Sunday night, co-founder Ariana Lombardi tells us "a friend/artist from the States will be here and sharing work, and Rowley and I will share news on how we're expanding The Salon (memberships and member benefits), as well as finding a private space where we will begin to host smaller, pop-up kickbacks."
Big things are in store for this group, which started as a small gathering that met once or twice a month at Loft 345 and Tristan’s over a year ago.
