According to a report published by The Southern Daily, citing the Guangzhou Metro, the new line is scheduled to open by the end of 2017 and will be composed of 11 stations.
The project broke ground in 2011 and will span a distance of 20.1 kilometers, covering both Huadu and Baiyun District and connecting to the existing subway system at Line 3’s Gaozeng Metro Station.
The new line will also stop at Guangzhou North Railway Station, which runs trains from Guangzhou to Qingyuan, Wuhan and Beijing, among other cities.
