Legendary English footballer David Beckham was in Guangzhou this week to promote the opening of a new Adidas store and to visit young football fans at the Zhixin Middle and High School, according to reports.
The former captain of the English national team, Beckham arrived yesterday (June 27) and spent this morning taking part in an event to promote youth football at the Zhixin Middle and High School. The event was co-organized by Adidas and the Guangzhou Education Bureau.
According to NewsGD, Beckham is scheduled to leave Guangzhou this afternoon.
Beckham’s visit to the PRD was, understandably, a pretty big deal and it didn’t take long for video footage and photographs to start ‘blowing up’ WeChat.
