The International Vertical Marathon Series is back in Guangzhou this year with five races to enjoy. The second race of the series will take place on July 10 at the R&F New World Center.
The event is a great chance to challenge yourself to run 233 meters up a building and also doubles as an opportunity to catch the world-renowned Blue Man Group – who will perform live at the race.
For those unfamiliar with the ‘vertical marathon’ concept, it was pioneered in Paris and the first race was held at the iconic Eiffel Tower in 1905. In the years since it inception, the vertical marathon has made its way around the globe – with annual events being held at the Empire State Building, Tokyo Tower, Taipei101 and, of course, Guangzhou’s Canton Tower.
