Have you ever stopped to think what life would be like without furniture? No? Well, neither have we – but it is an interesting question. Where would we drop our weary bodies to drink beer and yell at the TV screen when the Evergrande are hitting the field? The only obvious answer is the floor and that sounds horrendously uncomfortable – so let's all take a minute and appreciate that couch!
If you are anything like us and truly appreciate high quality furniture, then you'll be excited to know the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) opened today. The fair boasts an impressive 3,800 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and guests from over 190 countries are expected to attend, according to the fascinating furniture publication Furniture Today.
The fair is celebrating its 19th year and the first phase will run from March 18-21 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex and the Poly World Trade Centre Expo. What can you expect this weekend? Well, for starters, furniture, but to be more specific, indoor and outdoor furniture, housewares, home decor, accessories and home textiles.
The fair’s second phase will run from March 28-31 and will feature office furniture products, according to Furniture Today.
“As technologies mature, smart homes with advanced and reliable products are now more affordable,” CIFF stated in a media release. “Now people can not only embrace a simple and smart lifestyle, but also enjoy an all new experience that combines home entertainment, smart controls and intelligent safeguard systems.”
We don’t know what you’re doing this weekend, but we can assure you this is a must-attend event for furniture aficionados.
